This page was an afterthought - by which I mean, originally, in my thumbnail stage, I had the action that takes place on this page much more condensed, so that it only took a couple of panels.

Once I went to start penciling the final page, though, I realized that I wanted to stretch out this moment a bit, to hopefully show you something about the kind of dysfunctional and abusive relationship between Sugar Daddy and The Gingerbread Golem. It was very important to me to also show that Steamroller Man is a hero who, despite his lumbering, bull-in-a-china-shop nature, tries to solve things first by talking, and extending a hand in friendship.

As to whether this works in this case - you'll find out next week!
