This page was tricky to write! At first I toyed with the idea of starting with the origin of Sugar Daddy, but it just was a slog to get through - nothing seemed to really be clicking with me. For inspiration, I looked through some collections of Jack Kirby's DC comics, like Kamandi, The Demon and Mister Miracle. He never started with an origin! His stories almost always threw you right into the action! So I decided that Sugar Daddy's origin could wait. So here is Sugar Daddy in the final stages of his plan to bring to life a giant gingerbread man to serve his nefarious purposes! I actually researched legends of golems - inanimate creatures brought to life by humans - from different cultures from around the world and there were more than I expected, including creatures specifically made from edible material!

Mr Show-field,
Love steamroller man. Looking forward to following his further adventures. sorry I didn’t follow it on tumbler (or whatever that is) I’m not very tech savy but am enjoying it on “old fashioned” dotcom.
What about reviving the “Captain Australia” adventure we wrote years ago? Remember he was killed by some “Captain Britain” rip off after discovering that the British nuclear tests at Maralininga were killing aboriginals? Obviously a little darker then steamroller man. Maybe I should sell it too DC.

Hi Joe!
I’m glad you’re enjoying it! I don’t mind at all that you’re not following it on Tumblr. Now that I have a dedicated website set up for the comic, this is where I hope everyone will follow it. Funny you should ask about our collaboration from years ago – my kids were just asking today whether I would eventually be bringing any characters from “the comics you did as a kid”. I do already have the next couple of stories planned out, but after that, who knows?
