Whoo! This page was the toughest of any I’ve done so far. I had a cold for a week and so wasn’t able to devote the time I normally would to creating the page. It seemed to take a long time, most probably because of the people on the subway. I wanted to give each person a distinct look and facial expression, which meant designing them all on the page as I drew.
This page tackles the hot-button topic of “manspreading”! It seemed like a behavior that fit with Steamroller Man’s oblivious nature, and suggested a funny image to go with the lyric about the strangers on the subway.

In my overzealously quick binge reading I JUST noticed how his glasses make his eyes enormous. This is hilarious. I'm subbing you.

LOL the book title.

Haha - yeah, he's actually REALLY fun to draw as Steve Rollerman but I feel like I have to not spend too much time in his secret identity, since the name of the comic is Steamroller Man. But I do love drawing those big glasses on him!

I love the woman in the (hijab?) who's just like: "Stay back, son. Don't look directly at it."
